The Alchemist

A journey of following your dreams and finding your Personal Legend.

The Alchemist

I really enjoyed the message of this book. It is a message that I deeply resonate with and will continue to believe in: to follow your dreams. The short stories throughout the book were also awesome, specifically the Narcissus flower story and the story of keeping the oil on the spoon. These stories say so much with so little. I think I would have enjoyed this book more however if I could read it in its original language as I believe the translation threw the delivery of the story off. It oversimplified the language and made the storytelling seem too straightforward, it made the fantasy adventure feel more like a little stroll in the park.

Atomic Habits

I appreciated this idea of setting lifestyle goals rather than milestone goals. Make goals like, I want to be a risk taker, I want to be fit. These vague goals will change your decision making and priorities, and will help you incorporate these beliefs into your lifestyle. With milestone goals, you get there, then what? This idea has been helpful for me.
